James "Butch" Oakley

James "Butch" Oakley drives in the #5 Super Mini Truck Class.  He lives in Greensboro, NC.  His home track is Caraway Speedway. 

Butch's #5 truck is the desert camouflage Ford Couner Truck 2300cc.

He started racing in 1996 in the Mini Stock Class at Caraway and Ace Speedways because he'd been around racing all his life.  His first win was in 2003 in the Mini Truck Class at Caraway Speedway.  Career highlights include his first win and finishing 3rd in Points his first year.

The thrill of racing for Butch is the competition, speed and challenge.  His most exhilarating racing moment was winning!  He's most proud of his friends and running up front.

Of racing, Butch says, "It's fun, lots of money and hard work!".
