Colby Cannon

Colby Cannon drives the #16 Super Late Model Class car.  He lives in Hodges, SC.  His home track is Laurens Speedway but he can also be found racing at Lavonia Speedway and Carolina Speedway.

He started racing in 1996 in the Go-Karts Class at Checkered Flag, Danielsville, GA. for the love of the sport.  His first win was that same year.  Career highlights include:  4 Track Championships beginning in 1996 at Checkered Flag Kartway; over 100 Feature wins at various tracks, 2001 4 Cyl Class 4 Feature wins at Laurens Speedway, 2002 Limited Late Model 2nd in the Points at Lavonia Speedway.

The thrill of racing for Colby is the speed.  His most exciting racing moment was winning his first car race.  He's most proud of being able to come so far at such a young age.

Colby's racing hero is Dale Earnhardt.

Of racing, Colby says, "Fun sport to be involved in, but it is a lot of hard work!".
