Reid
#68
Marty Reid races out of Clover, SC. His home track is Carolina
Speedway.
He started racing in 1994 in the Go Karts
at Indianland Kartway because it looked like fun and he liked to go fast.
His first win was in 1994 in the Jr. Sportsman Class at Indianland
Kartway. Career highlights include 2nd at WKA National Dirt Series,
South Carolina Dirt Series 5 time Champion, 2nd at National Asphalt and
State Asphalt and Track Champion at Carolina Speedway in Street Stock.
The thrill of racing for Marty is the
ability to compete at high speeds. His most exciting racing moment
is trying to stay out in front in any race. He's most proud of being
able to continue his racing career and try his best to improve in all
areas of racing.
Terry Labonte is Marty's racing hero.
Of racing, Marty says, "It looks easy from
the grand stands but it's a whole different story when you get on the
track. If you think you can handle it, then bring it on!".
