Neil Welch drives the #54 Clash Class car.  His home track is 311 Speedway but he can also be found racing at Oak Level Speedway, Carolina Speedway, Clary Speedway and Wayne County Speedway. 

Team members helping Neil are:  Justin, Scott, Justin, Derek, Clyde, Steven, M.W. Glenn, Don, Herbert, Greg, Sherry, Benny, Spoddy, Trey, Neil Sr.  Herbert Way is the car owner.

Neil started racing in 1978 in the Limited Late Model Class at 311 Speedway because his Dad raced Log Cabin.  He's raced something since he was 12 years old.  His first win was in 1980 in the Limited Late Model Class at Elkins Speedway.  Career highlights include 100 wins and 6 Championships.

The thrill of racing for Neil is the speed.  His most exciting racing moment was Dirt cars on asphalt at Ace Speedway.  He's most proud of the people and the friends he's met along the way.

Of racing, Neil says, "It is a good, clean sport and will keep you out of trouble (no time for trouble)!".
