Johnnie Tucker Jr.

Johnnie Tucker Jr. drives the #8 Crate Late Model Class car and the #8 Super Street Class car.  His home track is Modoc Speedway but he can also be found racing at Gordon Park Speedway, Swainsboro Raceway, Hartwell Speedway and Lavonia Speedway.

Team members helping Johnnie are:  Johnnie Tucker Sr., David Tucker, Charles Hunter, wife - Ashley, sons - Johnnie Bo & Cole.  Johnnie & Tina Tucker are the car owners of the Crate Late Model and Charles and Melinda Hunter are car owners of the Super Street.

Johnnie started racing in 2003 in the Super Street Class at Modoc Speedway because it was a family hobby.  He grew up helping his Father when he raced.  Johnnie's first win was in '04 in the Super Street Class at Gordon Park Speedway.  Career highlights include '04 Super Street Champion at Gordon Park Speedway, '05 Super Street Champion at Modoc Speedway, '07 Super Street Champion at Gordon Park Speedway, April '09 first Crate Late Model win at Gordon Park Speedway, '10 Crate Late Model Champion at Swainsboro Raceway.

The thrill of racing for Johnnie is the competition of a good close race.  Going fast doesn't hurt either!  His most exciting racing moment was being able to race 3 wide in a Crate Late Model.  He's most proud of over 40 Super Street wins and 4 Championships in 7 years.  The best thing is that his family was there all the way with him.

Johnnie's racing hero is Scott Bloomquist.  He has put Dirt Track racing on the map and given all racers goals to strive for.

Of racing, Johnnie says, "I would stress the fact that racing is a family event.  You can have some of the best time of your life at the Dirt Track on a Saturday night with family and friends!".
