Doyle "Dirty" Patterson lives in Huntersville, N.C. His home track is East Lincoln but he can also be found racing at Carolina, Modoc. Taylorsville, Thunder Valley and Sumter.

He began racing in 2001 in Thunder & Lightening Class at East Lincoln because he had always wanted to  race since he was a kid. He sponsored a car and started from there. Career highlights include 5th in Points his first year in racing, winning Best in Show for Car in 2001 and Best Car Show in 2003 in Thunder & Lightening Class.

The thrills of racing for  Doyle are The escape of running his business and having "Believe it or not" a few minutes of total solitude. His most exciting moment in racing was going to and qualifying for the "Dirt Stock Car World Championship" in Modoc, S.C. and finishing 22nd. He is most proud of having enough guts to try because you can't win if you don't try.

His racing hero is Dale Earnhardt #3.
