Kent Petrea drives the #K2 Limited Late Model Class car.  His home track is I-77 Speedway but he can also be found racing at Carolina Speedway and Cherokee Super Speedway.  He lives in Concord, NC.

Team members helping Kent are:  Chris Petrea - brother, Tammy Petrea - wife, Jonathan Petrea - son, Justin Timmons, Jimmy Davis and Dennis Kirk.

Kent started racing in 1987 in the Baby Bomber Class at I-85 Speedway in Greer, SC following in a family member's footsteps (Billy Scott) and he'd been around racing all his life.  His first win was in the Baby Bomber Class at Buffalo Speedway.  Career highlights include running the Big 10 Series on asphalt Late Model.  Every win is as good as the last one!

The thrill of racing for Kent is speed and winning.  His most exciting racing moment was Bud 50 leading big Thunder & Lightning race at Cherokee Super Speedway, lost water hose with 3 laps to go!  Also was biggest disappointment!

Kent's racing hero is Billy Scott.
