Wild Bill Knight

Wild Bill Knight drives the #4 Late Model Class car.  He lives in East Spring, SC.  His home track is Lancaster Speedway but he can also be found racing at Carolina Speedway.

He started racing in 1978 in the Street Stock Class at Lancaster Speedway as a hobby.  His first win was in 1982 in the Hobby Stock Class at Lancaster Speedway.  Career highlights include:  1989 Track Champion in Late Model Class at Carolina Speedway, 1991 Shrine 100 Late Model winner at Carolina Speedway, 2001 and 2002 Points Champion in Modified 4 Cyl at Lancaster Speedway.

The thrill of racing for Bill is winning!  His greatest racing thrill was the night that his son, Benji, who was 16 in the Modified 4 Cyl car, beat him at Lancaster Speedway.  He's most proud of his Shrine 100 win in 1991.
