Alex Cranford

Alex Cranford drives the #17 Hornet Class car.  He lives in Concord, NC.  His home track is Concord Motorsports Park but he can also be found racing at Hickory.

He started racing in 2002 in the Hornet Class at Concord because friends started in 2002 so he thought he'd give it a try.......and loved it!  This is his first full year of racing.  Alex is 4th in the Points currently and has had 4 top finishes in 10 races.

The thrill of racing for Alex is going fast, the adrenalin rush, the competition and the fun.  His most exciting racing moment was the first race of the year, finishing 4th behind three teammates.  He's most proud of being in the top 5 in the Points.

Matt Kenseth is Alex's racing hero.

Of racing, Alex says, "Come out and try one time and it will get in your blood!".
