Steve Ackerly drives the #66 Pure Stock Class car.  His home track is Concord Motorsports Park.  He lives in Monroe, NC.

Steve started racing in 1996 in the Go Karts Class at Medford Raceway because he'd been around racing his entire life.  His first win was in 1996 in the Jr 1 Class at Medford Raceway.  Career highlights include 4 Go Kart Championships at Medford Raceway, over 75 wins Go-Karting, consistent top 6 finishes this year.

The thrill of racing for Steve is the adrenaline rush and fun.  His most exciting racing moment was winning his first Go-Kart race and now racing cars.  He's most proud of his Go-Kart Championship.  If it wasn't for them, he wouldn't be where he is today.

Steve's racing hero is Jimmie Johnson.
