Johnny Wood drives the #67 Pure Stock Class car.  He lives in Concord, NC.  His home track is Concord Motorsports Park.

He began his racing career in 1985 at Modoc Speedway because he enjoyed the competition and the camaraderie at the track.

"This is a breakthrough year for me," says Johnny. " I am 2nd place in the points right now, just 3 points out of first."

The greatest thrill in racing for Johnny is winning, and passing other cars. He is most proud of the time he pulled a fellow driver from a burning race car who was unconscious.

Johnny's racing hero is Michael Waltrip.

Of racing, Johnny says, " I love it, I love it, I love it!".
