Rev. H. R. (Buddy) Compton drives the  #7 Thunder Roadster Class car. He lives in Albemarle, N.C. His home track is Concord Motorsport Park but he can also be found racing at Lowe's Motor Speedway.

He started racing in 2003 in Thunder Roadster Class at Lowe's as a Ministry. Career highlights include, winning Faster Pastor Race, and 2nd Place in Dirt Track, both at Lowe's Motor Speedway.

He is most proud of the relationships he has made with other drivers and the fans. Of racing, Buddy says, "You can be a Christian and race".
