Russell Erwin drives the #22 Late
Model/Modified Class car. His home track is County Line Raceway
but he can also be found racing at NBS and Eastside. He lives in
Beaver Dam, VA.
Team members helping Russell are:
Duane Erwin, Eric Erwin.
Russell started racing in 2004 in the
Mini Stock Class at Brewerton Speedway because he grew up around racing
and loves it. His first win was in '05 in the Mini Stock Class at
Brewerton Speedway. Career highlights include getting his first
win in April of '05, Track Championship in '05 in Mini Stock, Top 5 AMRA
National Points '10 in Modified, Rookie of the Year AMRA in Modified in
'09, Track Championship Eastside Speedway in '10 in Modified.
The thrill of racing for Russell is
spending time with their fans after they win. His most exciting
racing moment was beating Kenny Shrader in November of '11. He's
most proud of being able to race with his brother and being able to
develop a first class race program.
Russell's racing hero is Tony Stewart.
Of racing, Russell says, "We could not
race if it wasn't for our fans. Tracks would not survive.
This sport is thriving because of fans. We need to work with
today's generation to educate the community about racing!".
