Ted Midgett drives the #1 Late Model Class car.  His home track is Dixieland Speedway but he can also be found racing at County Line Raceway.  He lives in Hatteras, NC.

Team members helping Ted are:  Frankie, Bill, Ryan, Kim, Beth, Chris B, Chris E.  Ted Midgett and Bill Ballance are the car owners.

Ted started racing in 1983 in the Economy class at Dixieland Speedway because he had wanted to try it since he was a kid.  His first win was in '85 in the Economy class at Dixieland Speedway.  Career highlights include 7 Track Championships in Economy Street, Super Street and Allstars.

The thrill of racing for Ted is beating the competition with the car you built.  His most exciting racing moment was getting his first race win with 20 plus cars.  He's most proud of going out to have fun, not getting burnt out with it.

Ted's racing heroes are all of his racing friends.
