Fred Smith drives the #6 Super Street Stock Class car.  His home track is Dixieland Speedway.  He lives in Maple, NC.

Team members helping Fred are:  Jim Snyder, Mike Archambo, Laurie Harper, Curtis Riddle. 

Fred started racing in 1999 in the C Class at Dixieland Speedway because he loves NASCAR and Dirt Tracks.  His first win was in 2000 in the B Class at Dixieland Speedway.  Career highlights include 2000 Track Champion in B Class, in 3rd place at this time in the Points for '08. 

The thrill of racing for Fred is winning a well run race.  His most exciting racing moment was starting last and coming in 3rd in a 24 car field.  He's most proud of the Pit Crew he has.  They have been there for 9 years, bad and good.  He's proud of his guys!

Fred's racing hero is Mark Martin.

Of racing, Fred says, "Good family sport, but does take a lot of spare time to race!".
