Albert Sanders

Albert Sanders drives the #89 Super Street Stock Class car.  His home track is Dixieland Speedway but he can also be found racing at County Line Speedway and Eldon Raceway.  He lives in Chesapeake, VA.

Team members helping Albert are:  The Grimstead Family, Michael Sherwood, Paul "Porkchop" Portugal, Melissa Sanders, Tom Wilson, Gary Kelly.  Melissa Sanders (wife) and Albert Sanders are the car owners.

Albert started racing in 2007 in the Super Streets Class at Dixieland Speedway just to have a hobby and always wanted to race.  Career highlights include doing better than last year (so far) thanks to the Gimstead family and the military for having him for 17 years so far.

The thrill of racing for Albert is just the competition of racing and the friends he has made so far.  His most exciting racing moment was his first 3rd place finish and being interviewed, looking into Melissa's eyes on the front stretch.  He's most proud of family picture with first car and the smiles on his kids (Miranda-daughter, Kyle-son) and fans faces.

Albert's racing heroes are Lee, Richard, Kyle, Adam Petty, Vic "Big Bubba" Sanders (brother).

Of racing, Albert says, "We may not be the best, but by God we got heart!  We do pretty good racing out of our own pockets.  So sponsors are always welcome.  Who knows with a little more help, we could win.  Just give us a call.  We will be glad to wear your company names!".
