Benji Thompson drives the #7 open wheel modified class car.  His home track is Dublin Motor Speedway.  He lives in Myrtle Beach, SC. 

The car owner is Michael Thompson.

Benji started racing in 1987 in the Go Kart Class at Low Country Kartway because his family raced for years.  His first win was that same year in Stock Heavy Go Kart class.  Career highlights include Southern Kartway Track Champion in 2005, 4 time New Years Blast Champion at Conway Kartway.

The thrill of racing for Benji is getting behind the wheel and taking control of the car.  He's most proud of being able to drive a race car for someone else.

Benji's racing hero is Dale Earnhardt.
