Mike Mundwiler

Mike Mundwiler drives the #M1 Late Model Sportsman Class car.  His home track is East Lincoln Speedway but he can also be found racing at Antioch Speedway.  He lives in Statesville, NC.

Team members helping Mike are:  Wife - Peggy, Sons - Jeff and Brett, James Allison, Dane Campbell (Piedmont Fork Lift) Sandy Patty, Evon, Anthony, Nick, Heath. 

Mike started racing in 1988 in the Late Model Class at Skyline Raceway and Thunder Mountain because Dad raced and for the love of the challenge.  His first win was that same year.  Career highlights include Skyline Raceway Track Champion in '94, Thunder Mountain Track Champion in '93, 27 Main Event wins, Raced at Hagerstown in Late Model Race of Champions.

The thrill of racing for Mike is the side by side racing with very little contact.  His most exciting racing moment has been all the wins, which are exciting.  However, the most exciting was winning the Turbo Blue Race at Skyline Raceway in '94.  He's most proud that he has raised his sons to be good race drivers.

Mike's racing hero is the late Dale Earnhardt Sr.
