Shawn races IMCA modifeds out of  from Charlotte NC.  As a kid he had always wanted to race so he began racing in 1986 in a Bomber at Metrolina. He got his first win in a thunder and lighting car in 1997 at East Lincoln Motor Speedway.

Close racing and ,"going fast" are the thrill of racing for Shawn. His greatest racing thrill was his first win. That first win is also his greatest racing moment.

Hayward Plyer is his racing hero.
