he can also be found racing at Dublin Motor Speedway and Wayne County
Speedway. He lives in Fayetteville, NC.

Jimmy started racing in 1975 in the Late
Model Class at the old Fayetteville Speedway because his Dad raced all
his life. His first win was that same year. Career
highlights include winning 40 races in 1979 and 3 Track Championships,
Driver of the Year in 1981. He has over 15 Track Championships at
Fayetteville Speedway, Dublin Motor Speedway, Pender County, Carolina
Speedway at Lakeview, Conway and Wayne County Speedway. He has
over 395 wins.
The thrill of racing for Jimmy is
winning! His most exciting racing moment was winning the Shirley
Edwards Memorial in 2001 and the East Coast Clash - $5000 win in 1992.
He's most proud of out running Winston Cup drivers on dirt - Dale
Earnhardt, Ernie Irvan, Kyle Petty, David Pearson, Bobby Allison, Terry
LaBonte plus many more.

Edwards Sr.
