Robert Ellis drives the #R5 Open Wheel Modified Class car.  His home track is Fayetteville Motor Speedway.   He lives in Raeford, NC.

Team members helping Robert are:  Dean, Leonard Ellis, Mack, Cathy, Tammie, Phillip, Christina, Joel, Wayne, Lee, Kirby, Ricky, Shawn, Terry, Dawson, Glen, Walter, and Ronnie.  Mack Coxe is the car owner.

Robert started racing in 2006 in the Street Stock Class at Fayetteville Motor Speedway because he grew up with it and wanted to try it.  Career highlights include finishing 6th in first race, 9th in the Points running only half the season then moved to Open Wheel Modified.

The thrill of racing for Robert is the rush.  His most exciting racing moment was beating his Step-Dad.  He's most proud of being able to race at the age of 13.

Robert's racing hero is Terry Labonte.

Of racing,  Robert says, "Dirt is better than asphalt!".
