Michael Thompson drives the #2 Open Wheel Modified Class car. His home track is Dublin Motor Speedway and Fayetteville Motor Speedway.  He lives in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Team members helping Michael are:  Darren Spivey, Benji Thompson, Ronnie Nelson, Shawn Bryant, Russell Montgomery, Beth Hill, Randy Billing.

Michael started racing in 1998 in the Charger Class at Carolina Speedway because of family influence.  Career highlights include several Go Kart wins. 

The thrill of racing for Michael is controlling something out of control.  His most exciting racing moment was the first dirt race he remembers attending.  He's most proud of his first start.

Michael's racing hero is his Dad, David Thompson.
