Steve Whitton Jr. drives the #1 Limited Late Class car.  His home track is Fayetteville Motor Speedway but he can also be found racing at Dublin Motor Speedway.  He lives in Sanford, NC.

Team members helping Steve are:  Kevin Banks, Steve Whitton Sr., Wife - Staci Whitton and Tom Goodwin.  Car owners are Steve Whitton Sr. and Steve Whitton Jr.

Steve started racing in Big Block Modifieds in 1995 at Tri City Speedway and IMCA Modifieds in 2005 at Fayetteville Motor Speedway he's been going to the race track since he was five years old.  He's addicted to it, it's in his blood and he lives for it. 

The thrill of racing for Steve is the speed, power and the noise plus trying to control something that is out of control.  His most exciting racing moment is every racing moment but the most exciting was when he picked off two cars at the flag stand at Cherokee Super Speedway, beating them by a bumper.  He's most proud of finishing the race and bringing the car home in one piece so they can race next week.  That seems to be a hard thing to do in their class because a selective few in their class drive out of control and try to wreck everybody.

Steve's racing hero is Carl Edwards.

Of racing, Steve says, "Dirt track racing is the very best on earth.  If you have never been, you need to go.  Just be prepared to get addicted.  I promise you will love it and it is not half as easy as it looks!".
