Bob Chaffee drives the #9 U-Car Class car.  His home track is Hammerdown Speedway.  He lives in Fayetteville, NC.

Team members helping Bob are:  Dan "Pat" Patten, Larry McGuire, Kirby Chaffee, Janice Patten, Lori McGuire, R. J. Chaffee, Carol Patten, Jenny Patten, Randy McGuire, Raven McGuire.  Bob Chaffee/CMP Motorsports (Chaffee, McGuire, Patten) are the car owners.

Bob started racing in 2007 in the U-Car Class at Hammerdown Speedway because it looked like fun and something he could do. 

The thrill of racing for Bob is getting into hard side by side fights for position without wrecking.  His most exciting racing moment was coming out of turn two at Hammerdown Speedway with just his right rear wheel left on the ground.  He's most proud that even as a new racer he has already led in the Points Standings and am still currently 3rd looking to move back up.

Bob's racing hero is Elliot Sadler (though he wishes Elliot wasn't in a Dodge).

Of racing, Bob says, "If you get into racing for anything other than the love of it, we wish you wouldn't!".
