Hank Hefner lives in Hickory, N.C. His home track is Hickory Motor Speedway.

He began racing in 1997 in Go Karts, Blue Plate, at Indianland because it looked fun. His first win was in 1998 at the same track in Blue Plate Class. Career highlights include, Points Champion 1998-Blue Plate-Indianland Kartway, Points Champion 1999-Blue Plate-Tyro Motor Speedway, N.C. State Point Champion 200, Jr. Champion-Heary, Nation Champion Techcumse Stock 2002.

The thrill of racing for Hank is the speed. His most exciting racing moment was winning his first stock car race. he is most proud of winning the National Points Championship.
