Matt McCall lives in Denver, N.C. His home track is Hickory Motor Speedway, but he can also be found racing at Lonesome Pine  Raceway and Martinsville Speedway, both in Virginia.

He began racing in 1990 in Go Karts at Mill Bridge Speedway because of Family Business, Mechanic, and he got hooked. His first win was in 1991 in Rookie Class .Career highlights include Numerous Karting Championships, Rookie of the Year 200 Hickory Motor Speedway, Mechanic of the Year Hickory Motor Speedway 2000 and Points Runner up 2003 at Hickory.

The thrill of racing for Matt is victory lane. His most exciting racing moment was running the NCTS Race at Martinsville. He is most proud of his track record at Hickory 14.79-5/8/04.
