Mike Newton

Mike Newton drives the #5 Street Stock Class car.  He lives in Hickory, NC.  His home track is Hickory Motor Speedway but he can also be found racing at Tri County Speedway.

He started racing in 1987 in the Street Stock Class at Montgomer Motor Speedway for the adrenaline rush you get from going fast.  His first win was 1989 in the Street Stock Class.

The thrill of racing for Mike is going fast and the competition.  He's most proud of building his own cars and being competitive.

Dale Earnhardt is Mike's racing hero.

Of racing, Mike says, "Anything and everything!".
