Stephan McCurley drives the #1 ASA Late Model Class car.  His home track is Houston Motorsports Park but he can also be found racing at Five Flags Speedway, Thunder Hill Speedway and Mobil Speedway.

Stephan started racing in 1997 in the Oval Dirt Karts Class at Silsbee Motor Speedway because his Dad always wanted a son in a racing sport and Stephan, at an early age was liking the idea.  His first win was in 1998 in the Jr. 1 Karts Class at Port Author Speedway.  Career highlights include Pro Late Model Points and Rookie of the Year in '06 at Houston Motorsports Park, winning his very first race in a Late Model against many well known drivers, 3 IKF National Titles.

Stephan's most exciting racing moment was when his team went to a Blizzard Race in Pensacola, FL, had an hour and a half to learn the track and set up, qualified 21 out of 26 but learned the track as he went on and finished in the Top 10.  He's most proud of the idea of him being part of the few with the chance of winning.

Of racing, Stephan says, "Racing comes natural - you got it or you don't!".
