Rance races Pro-cup cars out of his home town of Mooresville SC. Charlotte and Hickory are his home tracks. He also races in Ky.  Rance began racing in 1998 in the Bandolero Class at Lowes Motor Speedway. He began racing for the sport of it and because his dad did Winston Cup. 

He got his first win in a Bandolero at Lowes in 1999.  Rance  wins at Charlotte, Atlanta, Concord, and Kentucky. He has won 1 Driver of the Week award, and 2 Hard Charger awards.

Rance was the 2002 Young Guns series Winter Champion at Charlotte.

The thrill of racing for Rance is the competition and  making friends. He is most proud of winning the Championship and gaining the respect of the other drivers.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. is his racing hero.
