Sam McAulay

Sam drives the #12 Young Guns Class car. He lives in Huntersville, N. C. His home track is Lowe's Motor Speedway but he can also be found racing at East Carolina, Concord and Coastal Plains.

He started racing in 2003 in Young Guns Class at Concord Motorsports Park because he had always been interested in the sport and took a test drive. His first win was in 2004 in Young Guns Class at Lowe's. Career highlights include his first summer Shoot Out Race and he won it in the Young Guns Class.

The thrills of racing for Sam are passing cars and winning. His most exciting racing moment was when  he crossed the finish line  for his first win. He is most proud of  winning after  only six months of racing.

Sam's racing hero is Darrell Waltrip.
