John Wachter

John Wachter drives the #26 Masters Class car. He lives in Louisville, KY. His home track is Kentucky Speedway but he can also be found racing at Jeffersonville Sportsdrome Speedway.

He began racing in 1974 in Figure 8 Class at the Sportsdrome because he liked it and it gave him something to do that kept him out of trouble. His first win was in 1976 un Fig 8 at Sportsdrome.  He has been Legends racing for 3 years and has finished in the Top 5 in Points each year running in the KOIL Tour Series.

The thrill of racing for John is the competiveness.  The most exciting racing moments for John are every time he gets in the car. He is most proud of meeting new people, making new friends and having fun.
