Johanna Godinez drives the #83 Thunder Roadster Class car.  Her home track is Ponce International Speedway but she can also be found racing at Lowes Motor Speedway.  She lives in Davidson, NC.

Team members helping Johanna are:  Kyle Beattie, Neil Contor, Cecilia Gochoco, Terry Allen, Manuel Godinez, Rysa Racing.  Kyle Beattie is the car owner.

Johanna started racing in 2003 in the Tag Light Class at Guayama, Puerto Rico for the love of the sport.  Her first win was in 2004 in the Rotax Light Class at Homestead Motor Speedway.  Career highlights include finishing 3rd in National Championship at Guayama, PR in '03, 2nd place in Rotax Max Challenge Championship  South FL. '04, 3rd place Formula Renault Championship at Ponce PR '05.

The thrill of racing for Johanna is the competition, passing, getting passed and beating the boys!  Her most exciting racing moment was racing the Formula Renault Championship against her Dad!  She's most proud of the fact that she moved on her own from Puerto Rico to North Carolina to race and made it happen!!

Johanna's racing hero is her Dad, Manuel Godinez.
