Larry Grube

Larry Grube drives the #17 IMCA Modified Class car.  He lives in Lexington, SC.  His home track is East Lincoln Speedway but he can also be found racing at Thunder Valley Speedway and any IMCA race.

He started racing in 1984 in the Bomber Class at Cresco, IA because he had to go fast.  His first win was in 1992 in the Hobby Class at Nordic Speedway in Decorah, IA.  He won the 1999 Cresco Races, finished 5th in the UMP Points in South Carolina in 2002 and has 5 consecutive wins at I-20 Speedway.

The thrill of racing for Larry is the high speed competition.  His most exciting racing moment was Boone Super Nationals.  He's most proud of competing against high dollar teams. 

Dale Earnhardt is Larry's racing hero.

Of racing, Larry says, "Good, clean, expensive, fun hobby!".
