Darryl Weidenhamer

Darryl Weidenhamer drives the #1 IMCA Modified Class car.  He lives in Lawndale, NC.  His home track is Thunder Valley Speedway.

He started racing in 1979  in the Late Model Class at Macon Speedway because his Dad raced.  His first win was in 1979 in the Late Model Class at Davenport Speedway.  Career highlights include qualifying for the Yankee Dirt Track Classic in 1981 NDRA Race.

The thrill of racing for Darryl is just getting in the car.  He's most proud of just being able to hang on for 24 years.

Darryl's racing hero is his Dad.
