Austin Edwards drives the #49 Young Guns Class car.  His home track is Thunder Valley Speedway but he can also be found racing at Cherokee Super Speedway.  He lives in Boiling Springs, NC.

Team members helping Austin are:  Dennis Edwards, John Horton, J. P. Hester, Denny Thurman, Phillip Thurman, Curtis Beason.  Dennis Edwards is the car owner.

Austin started racing in 2003 in the Blue Plate Class at Highway 120 Speedway because his Dad raced for years and Austin had an interest in the sport so he started out in Go Karts.  His first win was that same year.  Career highlights include over 80 wins in Karts, Blue Plate - Jr. unrestricted, Track Championship at Riverside Speedway in Karts and his first car win in July of '06.

The thrill of racing for Austin is the rush and the thrill of winning.  His most exciting racing moment was leading the race with a 4 way tie for the Points Championship at Riverside Speedway and Austin came out on top.  He's most proud of his numerous wins and the places he's traveled to race.

Austin's racing hero is Jimmy Johnson.
