C. J. started racing in 2005 in the
Young Guns Class at Antioch Speedway because he had raced Go Karts for 6
years and had a lot of success so they decided to move into a 4
Cylinder. His first win was in 2005 in the Young Guns Class at
Antioch Speedway. Career highlights include 6 Championships in Go
Kart racing and over 70 races. In 2005 he won 2 races at Antioch
The thrill of racing for C. J. is his
love of the adrenaline rush. He would rather have a hard fought
race and win by an inch than a mile. His most exciting racing
moment was in Go Karts. He won around $700 in one weekend and it
was great because of all the passing that went on. He's most proud
of how much he has learned and the driver he's developed into.
C. J.'s racing hero is Mark Martin.
Of racing, C. J. says, "If you want to
get started into it, it's a lot of hard work. The biggest thing
for a driver is definitely seat time!".
