Jon Thornburg drives the #8 Crate Late Model Class car.  His home track is Thunder Valley Speedway but he can also be found racing at Cherokee Super Speedway.  He lives in Dallas, NC.

Team members helping Jon are:  Cody Fleming, Joe Threat, Rose Thornburg.  Buddy Thornburg is the car owner.

Jon started racing in 2004 in the Crate Late Model Class at Thunder Valley Speedway because he's been involved his entire life as the son of a car owner.

The thrill of racing for Jon is the speed.  His most exciting racing moment was his first race.  He's most proud of seeing all the happy kids, signing autographs. 

Jon's racing hero is Buddy Smith.
