Donnie Buckner lives in Asheville, N.C. His home track is Tri County Speedway but he can also be found racing at New Port Speedway.

He began racing in 1990 in Street Stock at New Asheville Speedway for the fun of it. His first win was in 1991 in Street Stock Class at Asheville Speedway. Career highlights include 1991-7 wins Track Champion Street Stock, 1994-6 wins Track Champion Super Stock,  !995-3 wins Track Champion Super Stock, for a total of 31 wins so far.

The thrill of racing for Donnie is the fun. He is most proud of winning the very last race ever at Asheville Motor Speedway.

Of racing, Donnie says, "If they have the chance, do it".
