Chad Garrett

Chad Garrett drives the #44 Late Model Class car.  He lives in Fuguay-Varina, NC.  His home track is Newport Speedway but he can also be found racing at Wake County Speedway.

He started racing in 1992 in the Dirt 4 Cyl Class at Asheville Motor Speedway because it was just in his blood.......his Dad raced dirt and Drag for 15 years.  Career highlights include 3rd place in Points in Street Stock at Asheville Speedway in 1996 and 5th place in Points in Late Model at 411 Motor Speedway in 2001.

The thrill of racing for Chad is the speed and competition.  His most exciting racing moment was two serious accidents.  He's most proud that he has been able to do it for 11 years and he's only 28 years old now.  Plus, his Dad and he have had a lot of fun, even if they weren't able to run another race.

Dale Earnhardt is Chad's racing hero.

Of racing, Chad says, "It is the best spectator sport going......just go to one race and you will be hooked!".
