Phil Richard drives the #5 Limited Late Model Class car.  He lives in Morrisville, NC.  His home track is Wake County Speedway.

Team members helping Phil are:  Steve Richard, Amy Richard, Jon Shelton. 

Phil started racing in 1997 in the Economy Street Stock Class at Wake County Speedway because of a desire to overcome mechanical limitations.  His first win was in 2000 in the Street Stock Class and 2002 in the Limited Late Model Class at Wake County Speedway.  He's finished in the top 5 in Points nearly every year and 2nd in the Points in '06.

The thrill of racing for Phil is the speed!  The most exciting racing moment for Phil was building his new car from scratch in 2000.  He's most proud of working with his brother.

Phil's racing hero is Denny Hamlin.
