Charlie Stephenson drives the #85 Late Model Class car.  He lives in Raleigh, NC.  His home track is Wake County Speedway.

He started racing in 1976 in the 6 Cyl. Class at Wake County Speedway for the love of it.  His first win was in 1978 in the 6 Cyl Class at Wake County Speedway.  Career highlights include 3 Track Championships in dirt & asphalt Late Model and between 50-100 Feature wins.

The thrill of racing for Charlie is the competition.  His most exciting racing moment is all of them.  He's most proud of being competitive after 4 decades.

Charlie's racing hero is Poor Boys.

Of racing, Charlie says, "Lot's of work, lot's of money.  You have to take the good with the bad!".
