Bobby Sands
#14
Bobby Sands drives the #14 Late Model
Class car. He lives in Stokesdale, NC. His home track is Wayne
County Speedway and 311 Speedway.
He started racing in 1984 in the Hoppy
Modified Class at 311 Speedway because he enjoyed racing, and grew up
around 311 Speedway. His first win was in 1985 in the Late Model
Class at 311 Speedway. Career highlights include 1986 & 1988 Ace
Speedway Track Championship, 1989 311 Speedway Track Championship.
The thrill of racing for Bobby is the high
speed, fellowship with other drivers and crew. His most exciting
racing moment was getting stuck in mud trying to pick up weight.
He's most proud of trying to do the best of his ability to be a witness
for Jesus Christ and people coming up and letting him know that they
appreciate his stand on his Savior!
Bobby's racing hero is Terry Labonte.
Of racing, Bobby says, "You can enjoy
things of this life that God has given us, but must put Him first!
God has given me a blessed life while racing!".
