James Batten

James Batten drives the #21 Late Model Class car.  He lives in Rocky Mount, NC.  His home track is County Line Speedway but he can also be found racing at Wayne County Speedway.

He started racing in 1981 in the Street Stock Class at Wilson County Speedway because his Mom was embarrassing them on the track.  James was the 1992 Limited Sportsman Track Champion and in 2001 he was the Late Model Track Champion.

His most exciting racing moment was his first win with his step father finishing second.  He's most proud of the trust and respect he gets from the other drivers.

Bill Elliott is James's racing hero.
