Lance Carlson
#26
Lance Carlson drives the #26 Pure Stock
Class car. He lives in Mt. Olive, NC. His home track is Wayne
County Speedway.
He started racing in 1992 in the Bomber
Class at Freedom Raceway in Delevar, NY. because he thought he'd be able
to drive. His first win was that same year. A career highlight
was winning on August 15, 2003 after being out of racing for 5 years.
The thrill of racing for Lance is trying
to control speed in a car going faster than it needs to go. His most
exciting racing moment was the end of August, 2003 when he flipped his car
over on the very first lap of the race, got sandwiched in between two cars
and had no where to go except upside down. He's most proud of not
giving up after so many things going wrong.
Lance's racing hero is anyone brave enough
to do it!
