Kenneth Mangum

Kenneth Mangum drives the #97 Late Model class car.  He lives in Raleigh, NC.  His home track is Wake County Speedway but he can also be found racing at Wayne County Speedway, and Fayetteville Speedway.

Kenneth started racing in 1977 in the Sportsman class at Wake County Speedway for the love of speed.  His first win was in 1978 in the Sportsman Class at Wake County Speedway.  Career highlights have been just racing, won some, lost a lot!

The thrill of racing for Kenneth is the self satisfaction of mastering what you have built and doing good with it.  His most exciting racing moment was out running Track Champion at Wake County Speedway.  He's most proud of friends and close ties with all racers.

David Pearson is Kenneth's racing hero.
