Andy Kieffer drives the #43 IMCA
Modified Class car. His home track is Brewerton Speedway but he
can also be found racing at Fulton Speedway. He lives in
Baldwinsville, NY.
Andy started racing in 2001 in the 4 Cyl
Super Stocks Class at Brewerton Speedway after working on a pit crew for
5 years, he decided it was time to take the next step to the next level.
Career highlights for Andy include finishing 11th in Points in his
Rookie season and finishing 3rd in most laps completed.
The thrill of racing for Andy is the
competition. Showing up thinking you did enough work to beat the
next guy. His most exciting racing moment is any time he's able to
get in the car and buckle on the belts. He's most proud that he's
able to field a car out of mostly out of his own pocket.
Andy's racing hero is Glen Derby.
Of racing, Andy says, "Racing is a
hundred things all in one. If you've ever sat in the stands and
thought "I could do that" I strongly suggest you try and start out in a
lower level 4 cyl class. You'll learn all the basics you need and
acquire the skill and nerve to pile it into the corners. You'll
also stay within budget and not run yourself out of racing.
Grassroots racing is where it's at! You never know unless you
try!".
