Wesley Thompson drives the #55 Pro Legends Class car.  His home track is Anderson Motor Speedway but he can also be found racing at Southeast Speedway.  He lives in Ft. Inn, SC.

Wesley started racing in 1988 in the 4 Cyl Stock Class car at Laurens Speedway because he's been going to the track his whole life, as his Dad raced.  His first win was in 1989 in the 4 Cyl Stock Class at Laurens Speedway.  Career highlights include 1990 Laurens Track Champion, 7 South Carolina State Championships, 9 Track Championships at different tracks, Alabama/Georgia Dixie Shootout Champion 3 times, 240 Legend Pro Main wins, 25 dirt car Main wins.

The thrill of racing for Wesley is close racing.  His most exciting racing moment was when he started 25th in a race paying $10,000 to win which was the biggest payout in Legend history at the time.  Wesley finished 2nd after 50 laps on a quarter mile track.  He's most proud of working on his competitors cars as hard as his own and hopes they win as much as he does.
