Ben L. Kay

Ben L. Kay drives the #71 Rookie/C-Mini Class car.  He lives in Williamston, SC.  His home track is Anderson Motor Speedway, but he can also be found racing at Myrtle Beach Speedway and Lanier National Speedway.

Team members helping Ben are:  Jeff Kay, Kyle Hicks, Chris Poole, Brandon Garrett, Jamie Brewer, Mom, Dad, James Kelley, Ted and Tayna. 

Ben started racing in 2004 in the Rookie Class at Anderson Motor Speedway because his family has always been racing.  His first win was in that same year.  Career highlights include finishing 5th in the Points in '04 and Rookie of the Year, finishing 6th in the Points in '05 and 3rd in the Points in '06.

The thrill of racing for Ben is the chance of being able to drive NASCAR.  His most exciting racing moment was his first win in '04 and finishing 3rd in the Points in '06.  He's most proud of his parents, brother and crew for supporting him in his racing career.

Ben's racing hero is Davey Allison.

Of racing, Ben says, "It's a good way to stay clean and out of trouble.  It's fun!".
