David McCabe

David McCabe drives the #01 Late Model Class car.  David lives in Laurel Hill, NC.  His home track is Carolina Speedway but he can also be found racing at Fayetteville Motorsports and Oaklevel Speedway, VA.  People who help David are:  Allen McCabe, Butch Christmas, Ronnie Coleman, April Cofall, Courtney Johnson.  David and Sandra McCabe are car owners.

David started racing in 1989 in the Street Stock Class at Fayetteville because he enjoyed watching the races and decided to build one.  His first win was in 1993 in the Street Stock Class at Carolina Speedway.  Other highlights include in '99 Late Model Championship and 4 wins, 2001 Late Model Championship and 6 wins.  He's been in the top 5 in points since '92. 

The thrill of racing for David is the speed and competition.  His greatest racing thrill was winning the first race.  His greatest racing moment was winning his first Championship.  

Jimmy (Porky) Edwards Jr. is David's racing hero.
