Johnny Pridgen drives the #22 Late model class car. He lives in Marion, South Carolina with his wife and children. His home track is Carolina Speedway.

Johnny began racing in 1981 in the rookie class at Carolina Speedway for the love of the sport. He can't exactly remember the date of his first win but knows it was in the Super Late Model class at Lakeview. The thrill of racing for Johnny is building his own engine and racing against friends.

His most exhilarating moment was when he won his first race. He is most proud of the help he gets from his family and father with his racing career. He would like to tell people about racing: " Turn Left, mash the gas and hold on!"
